Re: Stafford Song
That is a pretty cool T-shirt. This might be a stupid question, but where in Stafford does it stop being ST16 and start being something else? I've only ever known ST16.

Good question. I used to live around Walton/Wildwood/Baswich/Hillcroft Park etc and they were all ST17, but where one area ends and the other begins is not known!

They found it on youtube but it was the bad quality audio version, so they searched on google and found the one Rich filmed! This inevitably lead them to the Forum, and they will be bigging it up for us on the show!

I looked about online cos it's pissing me off a little bit now - maybe this information is being kept under wraps by the council due to some kind latent rivalry between post codes?! I like to think so anyway.

What a day! Cerebral compressions and skull fractures, and now this!
Love the design, Tenshon! Has anyone seen my "I'm a Staffordian" t-shirt? If so, do you think that simple style suits?
I can't wait to big the Forum up on Signal!

i haven't seen sofa's t-shirt, but i think the slogan is more appropriate.. surely you wouldn't want to ostracise all the staffordians who live outside ST16

I've skilled you up steveb, on account of the fact that you're the first person to join the Forum as a direct result of Signal. May there be many more!!

Think I remember a postman telling me once that ST17 is south of the Newport Rd and ST16 is roughly the north side??

Re: Stafford Song
Weeeeah! Many thanks to Rich Upsetter for my spanking new prototype t-shirt he made me this afternoon! Photos of the all new "I'm a Staffordian / staffordforum.com / ST16 'til I die" T will be posted as soon as I can get them sorted! The great news is that they will be available in ST16 as well as ST17, ST18 or any other Stafford Postcode variations!
Yes! Coming soon for only a tenner - top notch t-shirts - payable by Paypal, (probably)... watch this space!
Oh, and for anyone interested, especially those who are checking this out having heard about the song on Andy and Louise's Breakfast Show on Signal1 - the pub where the video was made is called Joxer Brady's, just off Market Square in Stafford. They hold a Jam Night every Thursday from 9pm - midnight. I am often to be found playing a tune or two there, as are many other highly talented folk.
Big thanks to Andy and Louise for mentioning staffordforum.com and spreading the word!

Re: Stafford Song
And once again, true to their word, Andy and Louise on the Breakfast Show played The Stafford Song, told people about the Forum, and mentioned that Sofa himself will be visiting the studios next week to get the tune recorded! I smell a Stafford album coming along...

Ello laidees and gentlemen ..just saying hello , having now finally managed to have a good gawp through this sizeable forum having generally always been hammered when someone gave me the website URL in a surprisingly sober for a change moment .I remembered it !..So I have as they say "got ere" ..and so greetings , hi or wotever to you all .
Further to the little chippings and written missives on the now legendary sofa tune . The following has been noted
1) It's being heard on signal ..
2) workers at magnatech and areva are apparently wandering about humming the chorus
3) I swear I thort I heard a workman on the bins whistling it today
and er..well it seems to be getting popular to say the least ..so well done Sofa nice job !.. as dem 'mericanos would say ..
Still thoroughly enjoying reading the rants, wibbles, and goings on on this forum .. certainly bringing on the odd smile or two aswell..
nice one .. I might actually say somefink sensible on it one day ..but for now I shall just voyeur on you all.....
for a while at least
