I saw some blokes pottering about in there on Saturday. Everything still looks relatively the same. Same menus still up in the windows etc.

If no pies, I wonder if it'll be a bring-your-own-pie affair?

Noticed one of the old owners looking in the window the other day, the fridges in the bar area are now gone and there are a few maccy D wrappers in there...

Does anyone have any firm news that the P&A is actually reopening or is this just hearsay? I do hope it can reopen; it would be criminal for such a lovely building to be allowed to deteriorate.
I actually think that the format they had when it originally opened worked and it was always pretty busy – i.e. a good choice of local ales and real pies. Shame that towards the end there was little or no local ale and they only served micro waved rubbish but still charged nearly £8 quid for the privilege.

In today’s economic climate quality, service and price is everything.

Latest news is the signwriter has been along to quote for the new signage outside..........

Basil can usually be relied on in these matters - also every time i've passed it in the last couple of weeks there has been activity inside - so it looks like it is coming back.

I do hope so, anyway - as you say, it's a great building and a lovely venue.

They've got the decorators in and by that i don't mean 'Arsenal are playing at home' .........

Just sell a nice cider and serve crisps, and I'll be happy! Extra points for Worcester sauce french fries :D

They should call it "Noah's Pie and Ale Surgery".
You can't Palm(er) us of with that..

I wondered if Pete, the manager, would be involved in a recovery plan? The last comment on the (resurrected) Pie and Ale Facebook page was "Thank you for all your comments it means a lot to us to know we all have your support and who knows we may be back one day....." back on February the third.
