Well...that time of year is almost here again. 2 weeks today it's 'Live @ The Castle 2012'...prob £2 entry, prob gonna rain, defo worth going. Here's the thread from last year.

I think they've done things a bit differently this year, in that it's a more varied group of performers who have applied to and have been picked by the council, instead of (possibly) being picked by a couple of people.

Always a cracking day out, come rain or shine. The forum's own Neon Jay is playing, as are the wonderful Katy & Emily Thompson. I don't know any specific times etc but I'm sure someone involved in it will post them up at some point soon.

Does anyone know the order of march for Sunday?

I'm assuming that parking will be at the Rugby Club but can anyone confirm that this will be the case?

Answers on a waterproof postcard please. :)

Right then...

A free park and ride service will be available for festival goers attending the Live @ the Castle event on Sunday 15th July. Due to the recent poor weather conditions, the grass car park at the Stafford Castle site has had to be closed. Parking is now available at Stafford Rugby Club and the usual £5 parking fee for the Live @ the Castle event has been waived. The park and ride service will be available from 11.45am at Stafford Rugby Club.

Also taking the recent weather into account the event organisers have moved the staging arrangements to offer attendees covered seating, which was previously part of the Shakespeare set. The grassed areas in front of Stafford Castle will still be available for people to sit and picnic on, whilst still being able to listen to the live music. The acoustic marquee and bar area will remain the same as it has done in previous years.

Erm, yeah.. wrong spelling of Hibrid too, I deliberately mis-spell it when using it as my alias due to a few other EDM acts already using it in original spelling-form...

Due to the state of the ground up at the castle the usual stage truck will not be there this year, meaning all main stage acts will be within the arena set up for the Shakespeare play. It's not ideal but at least all the seats are covered! They're trying to sort the speakers out so they play back towards the castle too, for people who are sitting on the grass.
