Broad Eye Windmill Open Day 10am till 4pm Sunday 2nd Sept
If you were ever curious about the windmill, what's it like inside and what is happening to it, come to the open day this Sunday. There will be activities for the children, face painting and fun. There will also be people on hand with historic knowledge of the windmill. Oh, and you can have a peek at Stafford Radio's studio. http://www.staffordradio.com So come and spend an hour with us at the Broad Eye windmill, just off Broad Eye roundabout, near the back of the college, the skateboard park, the chippy, down the road from Sainsbury's, etc, etc... You must know where it is by now!
..Jennifer Lindores (Friends of Broad Eye Windmill), Lisa of the Three Fairies and Paul Dean (Station Manager of Stafford Radio)
Stafford Radio are not just based in Broad Eye Windmill, we work actively with the Windmill members to assist with fundraising and renovation. In fact a number of our directors also serve as Windmill directors, so the projects are intertwined at every level.
The long term goal is to return the external appearance of Broad Eye Windmill to the way it was in the 1920s whilst establishing a heritage and education centre within. Broad Eye Windmill holds frequent open days to raise funding and is always appreciative of grants, donations or sponsorship.
Detailed information can be found at www.broadeyewindmill.co.uk - new volunteers are always welcome.
