Singles club!

Ok I know this is totally sad but I was wondering how many of us on here are single?
Being a fairly recent singleton I'm also wondering how many of you are in the same situation where all of your friends are either married or in relationships, making it difficult to find anyone to do anything with.
for instance I want to go and see the Rock Dogs at The Grapes on Friday night but all of my friends are busy doing couply things.
Anyone up for making a Forum singles club?

Anyone up for making a Forum singles club?

Just to let you know, I am working on a 'private' area of The Forum, that will allow people to chat/flirt/arrange dates/etc. so hopefully this will help you with this request. :)

I'm just trying to work out the best way to implement it at the moment!

A few years ago a friend of mine ran a singles club. They used to meet once a month in the swan but in between they used to go for meals, theatre, days out etc.

She said that they had about 4 weddings but when she herself got married to one of the members she had no need to go anymore and she could not find anyone else to run it.

They had about 40 regulars I think.

Might be worth starting up something like that?

That's not a bad idea HHF - will have to give it some thought :)
Not that I want to get married!!

The quickest way to find a partner is to realise you are happy single, someone comes along immediately to mess things up! ;)

I'd agree with that! I'm not looking for a relationship and I AM happy single, just looking for people to do stuff with. although I'm not averse to dating but that isn't the same as being in a relationship :)

I'd be interested in a singles club, quite like my gigs, comedy nights, food, beer, etc but most of my colleagues are married.

I think "aged parent" might be single too.

He boasts about how real men don't eat vegetables.

No self respecting woman would let a man get away with that.

The poor man probably has scurvy......start the single club and save him from himself.

If I get enough people interested I may just do that - as long as someone wants to run it with me :)

Ok. I am going to a party at her house on sat night so I will speak to her then.

I know that she will be helpful because she wanted it resurrected but could not find anyone to run it.

Just needs an organised person....(you run a business ...so perfect)

I have a friend who is single that was interested but did not want to take it on on her own. But perhaps you could do it together. I am happy to arrange a meet up to see how you get on and whether you think it's viable etc.

That sounds great HHF, thanks. I've organised stuff like this before but know it's always easier with more than one person.

Ok will give you all my details and hers after the weekend.

Word of advice....

Obviously all the single women in Stafford will be upmarket, gorgeous and intelligent, witty, funny and can put together a home cooked meal in minutes.

Be wary of allowing men who only eat hot dogs or don't eat veg.

Lovey, I think perhaps you should think about changing your forum photo thingy .....

I know that Baldrick was funny, and I know that it might be a bit shallow .....but people might think you look like the photo....and it's kind of off putting.

Don't shoot the messenger , it's only my opinion. But we could have a survey?
