I will be going to the flaming grill pubs in Newcastle Under Lyme soon as I heard there is a food challenge there

http://www.flaminggrillpubs.com/food/flaming-challenge-burger/
  • Two flame-grilled 12oz beef burgers
  • Two breaded chicken fillets
  • Spicy chilli beef
  • Melted Cheddar cheese
  • Onions
  • Crispy bacon
  • Onion rings
  • And served with a giant helping of chips
The parts that I am not looking forward too is the Spicy chilli beef - I'm not a big fan of spicy food

Not to upset you but I've seen standard meals in the states twice that size. They just give you a box to take home what you cannot eat on the night.

Enjoying a drop of red.
I want to try this challenge next
Why not take it on as a charity challenge and drum up a bit of sponsorship for a local cause (such as Katherine House)? You get to indulge yourself and do a bit of good at the same time.

That way it really would look good on your CV :)

I think that would be a good idea mixing food and charity together and raising money

Has the world gone mad?

In what way is the concept of 'good idea' attaching itself to this thread?

Many moons ago, on a weight sensitive mission of mine, i had to rely on 14kg of kit to keep me alive. TBF when loaded with water this was increased a great deal, but my basic was 14kg.

72oz = ~2kg = ~15% of my baggage 'allowance'.

Fifteen percent of that in one meal?

Zut alors!?!
