Live in the ST16 area and have no water?

Seven Trent says there is a burst water main on Eccleshall Road, they are dealing with the problem, but don't know how long it will take to fix...

Have water here! *fills kettle quickly to aviod being short on tea*
Coming to yours for a cuppa then!

Not fair really, I live by Stafford common so wouldn't of thought Eccleshall Rd would have much to do with our water supply...it didn't when they were digging up eccleshall rd in the summer...

Been back on a while

Hi, Severn Trent again. Good news! We've fixed the problem and you should see your water start to return to normal now. You may find it's slightly discoloured at first - this is nothing to worry about. If you run your cold kitchen tap gently for about twenty minutes, it should clear. We are really sorry and thank you for your patience.

I’ve just had a text from Severn Trent saying they’re working on the area and stated this
“We don't expect this work to impact your water supply, however there is a chance your supply may be discoloured. It may not look nice but it's usually nothing to worry about and this clears over time”

So what happens if this time is one of those unusual times to worry?

Looks like I’ll have to drink Diet Coke and beer for the foreseeable to be safe.

South East is already facing drought conditions in places. Could be a pretty miserable summer on all fronts if we don’t get a bit more rain soon (sorry sun worshippers!)

It does feel like it hasn't rained properly in months, even the storm we were meant to get was little more than a spitting of rain.

Had to get the old make shift hose and bucket out

It's not so long ago lots of places were under flood water .

Saw some workmen and water lorries on Wildwood Co-op carpark yesterday afternoon , with it all taped off and big hoses putting water into ( looked like) a hole in the ground . Cut my walk short to get back and have a shower incase our supply went off.

It hasn't really rained since March. Nowhere to store all the rain we had in autumn and winter. There is a drought on its way.

And here in Wildwood. Tried reporting by webchat but number 87 in queue.

How else do you find out what's going on in area?
