Aerial photography project requires co-machinator

Good evening/morning,

I've been doing custom aerial photography as a hobby for some time now, and am looking to take my hobby and commercialise it. I already run a successful business in Stafford and am looking to turn my photography hobby into a commercial venture.

I use hexacopters to take the photos, and if I'm to work commercially then CAA-recognised training will be required for the necessary insurances. I need someone to work with who'll be willing to fly the UAV and undertake the necessary training.
Am open-minded model aircraft hobbyist may be appropriate for this project.


I've added a few photos to a facebook page that I've created, so if you're interested in seeing what's been done then check it out! I'll add more as time goes by - I'm particularly excited to see what can be gotten up at the castle!

I love those photos, keep it up.

Take a look at this drone video taken of Bodie, a ghost town in California. There's some stunning footage of empty buildings and old vehicles. Perhaps you ought to do one of Stafford high-street. Nobody would know the difference.

That's a good idea I would start by contacting the estate agents and informing them on your offering.

I have looked at a few fairly large (upto 10000 sq ft) houses recently in various locations. One thing I have noticed is just how backwards the estates agents in staffordshire are. They have little idea how to market a unique building, and their presentation material is a joke.
Many agents produce detailed floor plans with measurements of each room and the ability to do a vital walk around. They will tell you about the house history and features such as inglenooks and If it grade 1, II* or II listed.

Many of them have detailed ariel photos taken from devices like you mention. It's always useful to seethe arial photos when buying a house. It is good to know if all that you can see with the eye is yours and that you control your own views so no one can put up a building and destroy them.
Additionally these sort of pictures give a nice bit of context to see the outbuildings, eg is the pool house convenient for the pool.

Go to the estate agencies of high end properties and drag them into the current century please.

I'm fairly confident that it isn't - but, if we can identify a pattern to the activity, then he might be able to follow it back to its base....

From what I can see it is a ripe market. Agencies like Savills already offers this.

You will also be competing with companies such as this one http://www.redhotcamera.co.uk/About/About.aspx who basically have cameras on poles and offer a services to smaller agencies who can't bothered with such things as proper photography.. No one in staffordshire seems to think that such things are worth the effort. I totally disagree I just thing the agencies are complacent and used to getting money for old roap. In more dynamic markets there is a world of difference. Someone who could help them unlock the potential of a property would be a great asset.

I have noticed red hot camera aren't that bad since you can see where in the room a photo was taken. This coupled with a good floor plan gives you information such as could you fit a full size snooker table into the room as well as maybe a couple of chesterfields and cue properly.

Might seem like small details to some but if it saves a physical trip then the more information you can provide the better.
