I rather like the fact that you can tell which bikes use the Baswich path so easily - white tyres and down tube, dead giveaway. :)

Mine too - after run out to Gnosall on the WFTM. Worst part was having to degunk the chain and gears.

I had a quick squizz at the 'Current Visitors' whatsit up there ^ earlier, and was most satisfied to see that one of our 'guests' was reading the ' Dogging in Stafford ' thread.

I'm not 100% sure the thread is actually called dogging in stafford - it might be stafford dogging, or dogging stafford, or even staffordshire dogging or indeed dogging staffordshire - either way they were searching the 'number one site for dogging in stafford' for dogging in stafford.

For which i feel we can be justifiably proud. :)

Further to the security tagging info above, free security tagging for students' bikes will be provided at the College on September 23 and 27. If you are a student and don't already cycle to the campus, please bring your bike along on those days and if you know someone else who comes to college, please tell them about it.

The Newport end of the disused railway line is currently being titivated. The track used to finish under the final railway bridge, ending in a pile of rubble. Now some workmen seem to be extending the track across the field between the bridge and the Focus roundabout.

There is also a short length of Tarmac running along the hedge line from the exit point. I think the imaginative concept might be to disgorge cyclists from the railway line onto the bypass.

Should you wish to do so, it should soon be possible to ride from Stafford to almost certain death under the wheels of an HGV.

Dodge the traffic, though, and you are within sniffing distance of The Fox.
