Hi,

My name is Robert, I've lived in Stafford for over 50 years. One of my passions is photography & over the years I have built up a library of images of Stafford and district. I have had these reproduced as greetings cards and calendars.

Please take a look at my website at the following link to see my various works.

Nice to bump into you yesterday, Bob - and Dog No 4 - I hope that I didn't detain you long enough to get you into trouble from the other half..

Love the Doxey Marshes pictures - no wonder so many Premier league footballers want to live here

Having been briefly molested by your dog today, I then stumbled into Waterstone's and noticed that your calendars are now available in there - and very good they look, too.

I really must start to carry a dog biscuit as a distraction.

My dog obviously likes you! Don't give her any dog biscuits else she will always expect them!!

Glad you like the calendars - they are going well - being sent all over the world!

It's that time again! Christmas is just around the corner and now is the time to send for a Christmas Card brochure from Robert Cartwright Photography.
It contains 20 designs all featuring my photographs of Stafford and District under a blanket of snow. The cards contain a festive greeting and are priced at £1 per card - 90p if 10 or more are ordered. My email address is info@ccstafford.co.uk and to view my general cards take a look at www.ccstafford.co.uk. To date over 10,000 cards have been purchased and copies go all over the world.

If you want to make a date for under a tenner then you need a calendar! Choose from two. Either 'Stafford and District' or 'Canals around Stafford'. They are priced at £7.99 per calendar.

The cards and calendars are printed locally by Jason Cornish Managing Director of the Calendar Company of Brocton, Stafford

I look forward to hearing from you and to delivering your order.

Looking for a Stafford DVD for someone as a Christmas present? If so you should consider 'Stafford- a Stroll Down Memory Lane'. A 50 minute programme that through archive footage looks at life in the county town between the years 1934 and 1986. It is pure nostalgia with sequences showing Stafford Laundry, the Queen Mother's visit to Lotus, the Salt Works, Stafford Rangers at Wembley, and much more.

The disc is priced at £14.99. For your copy email info@ccstafford.co.uk. or ring 01785-254283

the Queen Mother's visit to Lotus

when did this happen?? my dad worked at lotus pretty much until it closed down (indeed, that is the reason why i grew up over here and not in the motherland, as he was shipped in from Down Shoes in N. Ireland when i were a nipper) and he never mentioned it!

or, more likely, he did, and i just wasn't paying attention..

ah, well that would explain it.. we didn't come to these shores until 1980, i don't think..

perhaps his arrival co-incided with the beginning of the end for poor ol' lotus? :teef:

Spot on - 1953 was the year the Queen Mother visited Lotus. Can I interest you in buying a copy of the 'Stafford - A Stroll Down Memory Lane DVD? It's not everyday you can view Stafford Rangers at Wembley. The year was 1972.

Are you looking for a framed photograph of a local scene to display in your home or perhaps to give as a present to a friend? Then how about one showing the 16th Century Bridge at Great Haywood. a misty landscape over Doxey Marshes, the canal along the Trent and Mersey at Great Haywood on a beautiful autumn day or Shugbough Hall in spring. Perhaps you would prefer a loose print to have framed and mounted yourself. Whatever check out my website ccstafford.co.uk and have a look at the range of images available from which to select. On the website you will see one or two typical examples. They measure 20 x 16 inches -a nice size for the average room. My Email address is info@ccstafford.co.uk.

I have recently begun to sell my Christmas cards at Pillaton Garden Centre just outside Penkridge on the road to Cannock. Why not take a trip out there to see the fine range of plants displayed and after to enjoy a refreshment in the cafe including a mouth watering slice of cake?

If Pillaton is too far, you can see my full range of Christmas greeting cards on display at Waterstones in Stafford. All feature my photography of Stafford and District under a blanket of snow. You will also be able to view my two calendars -'Stafford and District' and 'Canals around Stafford'

But there were two others.. which is a lot more than most clubs can say

1976
1979

Do you enjoy a coffee at Ye Olde Soup Kitchen? If you do then why not, on your next visit, pick up a copy of their edition of the Stafford and District calendar featuring the very popular watering hole for the month of September.
