Ed Miliband went to a comprehensive school in North London.

1200 pupils with 12 in the upper 6th hardly a toff school.

I lived in the area in the mid 70's, a mixture of very expensive houses and council estates.

Enjoying a drop of red.
According to the Telegraph Ed Miliband has a net worth of approx £1.9m. His house is worth something like £2m.

I could be wrong, but I'm not entirely sure this is in keeping with the vast majority of those he claims to represent..

To be fair there has always been a number of wealthy supporters within the Labour and any party that tells people that once they are successful and well off then they can't be part it won't survive for very long.
One of the strengths of the Labour party was the cross section of people that belonged to it. Yes there has always been professionals and academics but also the 'sons of toil' as well with many of the Labour MP's coming from the shop floor such as Peter Snape, Dennis Turner and George Stevenson and these people gave the party balance.
But sadly you don't get these people coming through due to the route that prospective candidates take now. Most work within the party after Uni and then parachuted into Labour seats. Now I'm not going to question their ability or intensions but I feel a detachment from these professionals and that is problem Miliband has got. His upbringing and lifestyle is a different world to the vast majority of people in this country which will hinder him making a connection which also applies to ALL the other politicians.

Professional Politician, or PP.

Perhaps we should have taken out PPI after all.

No doubt it would have been mis-sold.

Am I wrong ( or oddly strange) to see Cameron administer some good old fashioned Old Testament smiting of the fornicators, sodomites and general wrong doers in his party? Preferably with a red hot poker!

Caught a snippet of that Scotland nonsense on the telly this morning

Christ on a bike, WTF is Alastair Darling doing not being Labour leader?!

Cameron has had so much good luck , will it last until June?

I couldnt imagine milliband running the country. Id be embarrased. Every time I see him or hear his whiny little voice I cant help but see him as some cry baby school kid who gets his lunch money taken daily. Cant see him having the balls to stand up for anything and stick his neck out. All I hear from him is the same old rhetoric. Its almost unbearable to see the two parties lie and embelish things in the run up to elections. Everybody knows theyl go back on their word after the election, avoid questions with another question, rape the middle class again and like a bunch of farking lemmings well vote the next superficial twat in from the other party after 4 years. Its a merry go round that weve been on for years. The big guys win and we lose. Im still farkin' furious that the arrogant bastards put us in the euro without a referendum cus they thought they knew best. Im voting UKIP. The establishment is running scared from them and the smear campaigns have been unprecedented. The free press (what a joke that is!) Have been ordered to dig up anything they can. Both parties are at it. That can only mean one thing. Theyre shitting themselves that the old two party paradigm has been sussed.
