The County Hospital

I ran Mom up there last week, the original car park's looked to be getting new barriers/ token dispensers. Still chaos at the front door with ambulances queueing up.
The interesting bit in that article is at the end ? "It will also provide car parking while refurbishment work is taking place and when any temporary accommodation is located on the existing car parking."
Looks as though people will be using Portacabins next....

Probably down to the fact that too mamy people cottoned on to the fact that if you put your token into the barrier without first putting it in the paymeny machine it would still lift up giving you unlimited free parking.

£300m to be spent ( by us ) in Staffordshire hospitals overhaul - double the amount originally planned

Can't call them Staffordshire Hospitals, there to be University Hospitals of North Midlands. Now where did that £300M go?

Also on Central news last night it was announced that the main Hospital in Herefordshire has gone into Special Measures. That Hospital is also named "The County Hospital"

That's intriguing; so ours will be The (Staffordshire) County Hospital to differentiate between the two
and there will therefore be no negative references to Stafford at all.

Will probably go the other way and Herefordshire will get off lightly. Anything hospital related which contains Staffs/Stafford/Staffordshire is apparently tarnished - Hence change of name from UHNS to Royal Stoke University Hospital and Trust from North Staffs to University Hospitals of North Midlands. So our "County" Hospital having Stafford in the address will likely be only one to suffer (that is if there is truth in reputation stopping staff coming here).

How exactly is that worse than the publicly financed situation of the past 10 years or so?

Seems like the same old same old, to me.

It's me, having a rant, frustrated at the whole situation, unable to express my anger and fear, saddened by the whole way the NHS seems to be up for auction rather than this stupid sign.

Also, having the knowledge of the past cruelty locally, the knowledge of the monies spent, but not on patients, the future, which is privatised cancer care guinea pig style for Staffordshire, without the accountability, with the added burden of profit above all, the knowledge that this means we are at the mercy of the lowest skilled and lowest paid staff, in the interest of shareholders not patients

And then there is TTIP

I prefer this marwood rather than the cryptic version. Very well put, i feel exactly the same. I really cant see a future where the care gets better. I will only worsen until brits are forced to buy their own health insurance. To get anything above poor healthcare.
