I'd say your right, I don't think it was ever used, just a mass exodus across the road. What a wast of money that was

Crinoline Bridge was my second home, and I well recall the sound of engines shunting, with the clinking and clanking of buffers even in the early hours of the morning and the periodic shaking of the house as an express thundered by.

Thanks for all the comments. I work in Oldbury, near West Bromwich and what has become clear is that McDonalds in that area is that they have been running a program of amending their drive-thru's to accommodate 2 drive thru lanes. Even one I visit on the way to Leeds (junc 29a of the M1) which was only built 18 months ago has been reconfigured.
The drive thru is Stafford cannot be be amended due to lack of space. Thinking about it, it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to open a new one in order to close down the old one (KFC did the same)....

Great stuff! Might as well fill it up and create additional jobs (even if only at NMW) then leave the space empty for no reason.
I expect there'll be plenty more new retail/housing opportunities around there once Alstom move.

Unless the car dealership plans have drastically changed it should get turned down for the same reasons as last time. I can't check right now easily. Setting every other reason aside, highways should object again and that will be enough.
I again find it disturbing that I'm not being informed of a planning application for something I could see from my front window.
