Think it's having a refurb, was in The Cock recently and found it really friendly.
Bodes well for our move to Woodseaves after Christmas.

What a fookin miserable place

Popped in for a pint last week

Place stank of Dettol

The whiskey bottles are protected by chicken wire

The locals turn there back on you as you walk in ( OK OK I would too if I saw me )

Woodseaves - twinned with Alabama
As our new local we're loving it. Since we moved three weeks ago we've been given cabbages, bought drinks and had people move away from the fire to let us have a warm when we come in from the cold.
Totes friendly.

The Plough re-opened on the 26th June. Haven't been there yet so can't report on what it is like now.

Called in for a couple of quickies late on Saturday. They've done a decent job on the refurb, friendly staff.. Beer garden gets the evening sun nicely. Log burner at one end and a huge fireplace at the other bodes well for the winter months. Dog friendly with a big jar of doggy treats on the bar. Only thing I'd change personally is to lose the pool table.
As I only live about 50 yards away, I may get to see more of the place!

But what beers (& ciders) do they serve, and what are its opening times?

Had a couple of pints of what I believe was a guest ale on recommendation of my neighbour, sat outside so didn't really take a lot of notice of what's on offer. Will have a proper look next time I'm in.
Opens late afternoonsI understand.

Big food wholesalers truck there this morning, looks like they're planning to offer food earlier than expected.
