Weird, people aren't shouting "Government out, go back to where you came from!".
No they're saying 'Don't let workers from disparate countries undercut our wage rates'
Maybe minimum rates for skilled trades is the answer although I suspect that would make the UK even more attractive to workers from countries whose wages are much lower as it is.

The Daily Mail type of person...:tumbleweed:

....likes to ignore the crisis that is the age-ratio make up of the UK... in favour of a selected paranoia on immigrants.

So do Nasty MP's and some Thicko MP's and the Vicious supporters

Simple fact is.. We need young people because we have not made enough of our own... to pay taxes.. to fund the extra ordinary high amount of older people who won't be paying income taxes because they are done in.. It's a simple maths thing actually

Leaving your condescension aside, where I have ever stated there shouldn't be any immigration?
Yes there is a number of good reasons to have immigration but shouldn't they be included in planned immigration rather than the free for all that we have now?

You just summed yourselves up..

A Selective Paranoia - "free for all that we have now"

If you rely on so-called news organisations for your information you will never have the correct information to make an informed comment

Its no easy , I freely admit that , but what happens is a so-called news organisation sets and agenda despite any facts, then they rent a talking head or three, politicians and the like , they then print or broadcast an hysterical story to fit their owners prejudice and then that ' story' nonsense gets re reported as fact, complete with so called authoritative quotes

And so it goes

It is sick

I have experience of such

( the answer? http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/index.html )

PS its not personal :scouse:

What is your issue with immigration ? How does it affect you?

Immigrants are all colours. Not all are Black or Asian.

Remember there are a lot of children of immigrants in Stafford whose parents came over in the war.

Many of these served with distinction in the RAF etc.

It may have escaped you that we have a White Eagle club!

Do you have the same view with Irish ? Are they not immigrants?

Whats your view on Fijians and Nepalese in the British Army?

I wanted to answer each of these points separately but can't work out how to do it, can someone please explain (simply) how It's done?

Click the reply button and then copy the quote that appears in the text box.

Then paste the quote, deleting all but the specific bit you want to reply to. Reply to it, then repeat the process for the next point.

Bit of a fiddle but I can't think of a better way of doing it.

Immigration is generally a net gain to our economy, giving far more than the perceived "drain on our taxes"

Take Romanians and Bulgarians, for example. 144,000 living in the country. 1740 claim benefits. 1.2 % claiming benefits.

British people in the Uk 58,759,260. British people claiming benefits 5,100,000 . 8.7% claiming benefits

-------------------------

There are a lot of things wrong with Britain, but immigration is honestly way down the list of issues. Generally giving a living wage would be a fantastic start. There is no reason why anyone should have to work 40+ hours a week and still need benefits to survive.

I think a positive of the rise of the far right, if there is one, is that this election will be exciting. It will be interesting to also see if there is a backlash against the lib dems, and if labour are elected despite the publics perception of ed miliband.
