I've just finished reading The Girl on the Train. It was so hard to get into!

I do find that with some books...hard to get into but worth it in the end.

I love books that grab you from page one but not often you find one of those.

I read the bit on inside front cover, wanted to read more. Wish I hadn't bothered now.
I like Stephen Booth. He sets his stories up the Peak District. Might not be everyones cup of tea, after all, each to their own.

Did you not enjoy it then?
I did although it did get a bit far fetched in the end.

I haven't heard of Stephen Booth but I shall look out for him....it's nice to get recommendations from someone else.

No duck, but I do agree with you, the beginning was ok, but I personally think the last third of the book was dragged out.
I love reading. Have a massive pile of books by the side of my bed.
Patricia Cornwell, Tess Gerritsen (Rizolli & Isles), Stephen Booth, Noddy Holders autobiography. The lost is endless.

I love reading too and keep buying books.

All kinds although I love a good whodunnit.
I love browsing second hand books, charity shops, book sales etc.

I love the smell of a book, the feel of a book, I love turning a page.
I will never, not ever be tempted by a kindle.

Stephen Booth is great. Also hooked on Lee Child at the moment. Added Denise Mina into the mix, and then to balance out the gruesome thrillers, Jojo Moyes and Marian Keyes are featuring too.

Sobbed my heart out when I read it a few weeks ago. She's writing a sequel, I think it's out in September.

I took these on holiday a little while ago.

The first was a very easy read and one that I would recommend, especially if you've an interest in politics and lived through the Wilson and Thatcher years.

The second is a bit more heavy going and one which will have to wait until my next holiday (I'm about a third of the way through, I think. Reading non-fiction on an eReader is a bit of a mystery as, because of the references and the index, the "last page" can be up to 15% before the end of the book.)
