So, I know the garden centre closed a while back, but what's there now? Does anyone know if there are any plans for it in the near future?

Part of the land has been sold to gypsies/ travelers - the other half remains unsold.

Although there were talks of possibly having a new housing development built there?

Although this hasn't been as popular now people know who their neighbors will be...

Someone I know used to work there - hence the insightful gossip lol

Haughton mower services were based there, which was handy. Bought a couple of mowers from James but it looks like they are closed as well now :(

That's a shame, I hoped they would open a new one in its place.

(Smallest child's has a strange obsession with garden centres, Bradley was one of her favourites).

Yes, I think that is Stafford Lawn Mower Repairs, there was a thread on here a while back which mentioned them and I took the details. I use a lawn tractor for grass cutting and it has to be collected as I have no trailer/tow bar. It looks like they will pick up, so will give them a try end of grass cutting season. :)

I'm pretty sure it hasn't been rented out to gypsies / traveller's as I live right next to it and and can say for certain that we don't have gypsies there but I was really hoping to find out if anyone still owns it or what is going to happen to it, are they going to knock it down or what? I also know a farmer uses it to store his machinery in there so I'm not sure how that deal works with him...

Aforesaid farmer hasn't been using it to store fruit/vegetable picking workers as well as machinery has he?

I'm more confident that they haven't seen as the door where the farming machinery is held doesn't look like it's been opened in ages do to all the weeds and also the fact it can't be opened from the outside
