Wanted Household Items

Wondering if anyone is able to help me. After being made homeless through no fault of my own the council have offered me a flat and I have just been and picked up the keys. There is some furniture there but not a lot and what is there is of very poor quality. I was wondering if anyone was getting rid of anything that may be of use to me as I am pretty much starting from scratch and money is tight. I promise once I am back on my feet and replace things I will regift the things to others in need.
Thank you for taking the time to read and I look forward to hearing from you.

Got no furniture but may have some bits and pieces for the kitchen, will have a look. Are you able to collect? As I don't have a car.

Hi Sara
I dont hoard anything, I give everything away, often to a friend of mine that helps with a charity shop.

However, I do admire those peope that are proactive and try and find a way out of their situation.

I would like to help.

Can you provide a list of what would be useful to you?

Things that are of no consequence to one person might be gold to another.

Hi Sara

I'd like to help too.

Please either post a list of what you need or, if you feel happier, just PM me and I'll see what I can do.

Hi Sara

Well done for not just accepting your situation and doing something about it, as @Carole suggested a list would be good as people may not have what you need themselves but may know people who do have it.

Hi Sara
I would also find it useful if you provided a list as we are moving house shortly and have some things to get rid of. We have a gas cooker sat doing nothing in the garage if that is any use to you and some old kitchen equipment - not sure what there is as it's been boxed in the garage for a few years but we are planning on doing a tip run at the weekend so can have a look for you if you tell us what you need. There's also an under the counter fridge - not the best to look at but it works fine.

Thank you so much for all your replies!

I really appreciate it.

I was contacted by someone yesterday via facebook who has said that they have a sofa, bed, kitchen white goods, 2 chests of drawers and a tv stand.
I am going to attempt to collect it all this afternoon and when I say attempt I am using my friends small car so I'm fully aware that some of it may not fit in, so I can't guarantee what I am going to have by the end of it! lol

I was given a microwave yesterday and I have a kettle but other than that I need everything else kitchen wise!

The flooring that is in the property is council tiles on the floors through out apart from some off cuts of carpet in the living room so maybe some rugs?

There is a built in wardrobe there but I am in desperate need of hangers!

Things just to generally make the place a bit more homely to I guess so ornaments, lampshades etc

I have a quilt and pillows however bedding sheets, quilt covers, pillow cases I don't have.

I don't have a television however this is something I understand totally isn't essential so I am not fussed either way whether I have one!

As I say I will have a better idea of what I need after I have been to pick this other stuff up this afternoon, so I will come back and give you a better idea after i have done this.

Thank you all again so much, I never expected such a response and I'm actually quite overwhelmed right now!

I have replied to everyone who has private messaged me aswell thank you for those messages.

Kind regards

Sara

Hi Sara
I may have a TV you could have but will need to speak to other half first. It is a big really heavy projector screen tv though - works fine but really tricky to move with it being so heavy!

Hi All

apologies for the delay in getting back to you, I have had people dropping bits over to me over the weekend and I didn't want to tell you that I needed something if I received it this weekend/

Massive thanks to everyone who has helped me so far I truly am so grateful.

What I am currently needing is the following;

Kitchen Utensils (Made sausage casserole today using the slow cooker from Darren and then had great difficulty getting it out with a dessert spoon! lol)
Electric Cooker (Have checked the connections and there is only electric here not gas)
Under counter freezer (Would be really handy for freezing the excess sausage casserole right now!)
Things just to make it a bit more homely? Cushions, Throw to cover the awful sofa that is here!, Lampshades things like that?
Rugs or an old carpet if maybe someone is getting new and their is still life left in theirs? (living room has offcuts of an awful brown carpet scattered about apart from that I have nothing anywhere!)
Possibly net curtains? (All windows are facing and right next to a path, I have normal curtains in the living room and bedroom, however when they are open I feel very exposed and have no privacy and obviously when they are closed they are blocking all natural light out, in the kitchen there is curtain wire where I am guessing has been a net curtain previously other than that there is nothing in the kitchen).
Also in need of bedding, as in covers and sheets and pillow cases and towels too.
Television (though as I said previously I don't see this as an essential)

Off chance aswell I don't suppose anyone has an old working Virgin Hub that they are not using do they? Even if this is a loan until I get mine. My internet was turned on last Thursday and my friend who works for Virgin was supposed to drop off my hub on Saturday but I haven't been able to get hold of him, currently using my dongle but my signal is very hit and miss here!

Thanks again everyone I really do appreciate your help.

*edit* and a hoover too as unfortunately when Darben got her hoover out it decided not to work and is now in hoover heaven!

I have a brand new large magnolia blind, It's never been used some I'm guessing all bits are in there, I also have a curtain pole (though no ends or attachments but these should only be pennies from a hardware shop), I've got a canvas of some trees and can probably dig out a few kitchen utensils as well (I'm sure I've got 3 or 4 potato mashers and only ever use the favourite one for example) I've got an old sky box as well if that's any good? It'll pick up tv signal if you've got the connections there already.
