Wren Living are opening a new store in Stafford - before Christmas.

They say that they are opening a out-of-town centre retail store that's 30,000sq foot ....myself & the other half can't quite work out where it will go.....but if you knock Dreams & the on/off computer place into one (Greyfriars retail park, next to Dunelm) it would fit in there!

Anyone else have any idea where it would fit?

no job vacancies for Stafford on there website. if they were opening be four Christmas you would expect them to be looking for staff.

I'm searching for work at the moment... why do so many employers think that people work for the fun of it? After location, salary is the single most important piece of information I want to know. I haven't got time to contact people to find out they're offering less than I'm on now, which has happened twice this week.

My gripe is why they make looking for a job so hard by using various agencies - so you have to hunt high & low for what you are looking for...

...husband only knows about this one as he was approached by a recruitment company (not Indeed) for an interview - I later found the add on Indeed - but it didn't come up on husbands Indeed notifications, but other people on this post haven't found anything for Wren in Stafford....

I don't bother with agencies. I've only contacted three employers so far in my hunt, however, I have a couple of recruitment consultants who specialise in my industry scouting for me, which is actually turning out to be remarkably successful.

LittleHubby may find this works for him too, if such a thing exists for his industry (I'll be amazed if there aren't specialists for retail professionals).

One would think that if they are opening a new branch then there would be lots of positions being advertised.

I am wondering if they have used the word STAFFORD when in fact they actually mean STAFFORDSHIRE.....so the vacancy is in Stoke/Hanley?

We've started doing direct recruitment, using LinkedIn etc., which it seems is working really well

I've been contacted this way before... earlier this year I interviewed with someone who found me this way but ended up rejecting the offer.

Boy do I regret that now :grr:

Most likely they will recruit the store manager first and then allow the store manager to be involved in the recruitment of, what will be, his team.....
