I noticed there was a sign in the toilet windows on the North Walls car park announcing they will be closed from this coming Monday!

Those toilets where really handy there, is it to do with the maybe Morrison s ownership the land

That's what I was thinking, I suppose they may hope if ppl use their loos, then they may spend more than a penny in there

Time to provide public toilets which you have to pay to use - as long as they are kept clean and properly maintained.

Good call as they are disgusting and unsightly as a block. In future I guess those that park on the car park will use warmer cleaner safer and more pleasant supermarket toilets as in the same vein as asda tesco and sainsburys. Plus the current toilets get locked at 530 ish whereas they will be open as long as the supermarket is open.

great result.

Not a great result if it means SBC cannot put on Town Centre Events due to the lack of "Public Toilets" & cost of hiring Portable toilets
Why can they not make use of these 'warmer, cleaner, safer facilities? rather than hiring Portable Toilets? Surely these businesses benefit if people are attracted into town?

Not sure anyone goes to town to use a toilets and some I know avoided north walls toilets because the were awful and only have cold water taps. Plenty of public toilets in town

SBC have stated they cannot put on a Town Centre Event due to the cost of hiring Portable Loos, so it's not a question of people 'going into town to use a loo' rather than 'not being able too when in town'

Where? Wilko's & ??? SBC should provide More public toilets, not keep closing the ones we have, even if it means spending a penny, well 20p probably to keep the clean.
