Now they've chopped the trees down and closed off the cycle path, what's the betting that work on the Western Abcess Road will run out of funding, or it's decided to build a few more supermarkets instead?

I've heard a rumour that Halfords are relocating to where the 'new' Morrissons store is planned. Has anybody else heard this rumour.

Not only have I not heard that about Halfords before but I can't imagine why it would want to under any circumstances. It goes against their store location policy.

The halfords rumour is old hat and reared it head about this time last year by someone on here and claiming they had taken one of the 3 units on the site even though all three had been advertised as taken by B&M, morrisons and one of the pet superstores. Nothing has changed on the developer website.

I cannot see halfords taking a unit the size of morrisons in the same reason aldi wouldn't. Plus wouldn't a change of use needed to be submitted, nothing on SBCs portal for the unit/ site.
