Traffic was just building up when I went passed Tesco about an hour ago, me thinks I may have timed it right!

I'm not 100% sure if this has happened, but we seem to have a timed sequence on the MOD Main Gate lights now, rather than the junction triggers that tripped the lights before. Certainly, I have been stopped on almost every transit of them for the past couple of weeks, usually without there being any turning traffic to take advantage of the stoppage.

I'm sure you are right.

Disruption to traffic flow is now just at a whim, rather than because somebody wants to enter our exit the base.

It can only be a matter of time before they do the same for the technology park lights.

It used to bad enough before - there are two lanes for the exit, it would be a simple matter to arrange for the lights to only stop the southbound traffic for a vehicle in the left-turn exit lane, if there'e nobody turning right, but, it's always stopped the northbound at the same time - yet more futility - just like the failure to engage the filter light at Sandon Road.

It must be deliberate, either out of sheer spite for motorists or part of a plan to increase vehicle emissions and pollution.

Timing issues for traffic lights can be reported via www.fixmystreet.co.uk if a traffic light sensor becomes faulty it will default to a timed sequence regardless of traffic conditions. Could see a few motorists being very upset if they didn't!

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
It's probably cheaper as there won't be any sensors needed in the road surface.

Inbound to town on Lichfield Road seems to be blighted by this. The lights are more in favour of The Hough passing traffic at times.... even when nothing is passing through.

Maybe they deny they exist? I put a complaint in that drains in my street were blocked only to be told they were not so I sent pics as proof and was told it was on a list. Nothing more in 6 months!
