They're a bit pricey for what is essentially very ordinary quality food.Coast to Coast licensing application going in for unit 18. Booze from 10:00 to midnight. 'Late night refreshments' from 23:00 to 00:30 and recorded music from 08:00 to 00:30.
161 covers over 44 tables inside and 9 tables on the outside terrace.
Is there one in The Mailbox in Brum?
Which at the moment they are not as there are no roadworks. All those spaces are little use if everyone who wants to go there is sitting in gridlock at Queensville.
We'll see if the parking becomes an issue when the shops open I suppose.View attachment 3003
Taken from the top of the new car park today.
Talking about the new car park. I used it today for the first time. Parked on level 6 as I couldn't park any higher as levels 7 to 14 are for permit holders only which seems like over half the spaces aren't for general public use (unless you buy a permit).
The only pay station I saw was on level 2. Why are there not pay stations on at least every other level? Why does Stafford always seem to do things in a half-arsed fashion?
As everyone must know, they will be when the retail capacity opens and the residential capacity fills up. Nothing has been done to address the inherent lack of transport capacity.Which at the moment they are not as there are no roadworks.
Nearly every town has such issues, as everyone must know. Build somewhere that people want to visit and they will come.As everyone must know, they will be when the retail capacity opens and the residential capacity fills up. Nothing has been done to address the inherent lack of transport capacity.
When's the footpath along the river going to re-open, that's what I want to know. It's turned a lovely riverside walk to the Sun into a horrible trek up Lichfield Road.
The path right outside the new car park is fully open.
There's a good view looking up Newport road.View attachment 3003

There were hundreds of spaces available but that wasn't the issue I was talking about. The lack of pay stations will be an issue I'm sure especially when you forget to either pay when you get back or leave your parking token in the car like I did. That's not why I'm complaining though as I'm fit enough to walk up and down the stairs without any issue but it's not going to help less mobile people if they forget.Seems reasonable, there has been plenty of spaces on the dozen times I have used it in the day and it makes sense to allocate levels/ spaces/ areas to permit holders. Paying for a permit I would want a reserved space. Also makes sense to put them at higher levels adhoc visitors to shoppers have to walk less plus at weekends permit or council workers cannot use them when it would be busier.
with another 600 spaces coming at north walls and under m&s seems about plenty.
can't say alot on pay stations as I have normally used them on levels ground -2, even if there are not any on higher floors you have to get through those levels on the way back to a car anyway.
intu centre has them on every other level so even if they are not on higher floors at stafford seems reasonable practice. Not sure of the issue really
If I remember correctly the car park I use in Telford has more than one pay station. Not sure what the car park is called though. We'll see if the parking becomes an issue when the shops open I suppose.
As to the pay station thing, that's pretty common nowadays. Go to Southwater in Telford and you just get the paystations at the shop level entrance.
As your car is fairly wide, I'd be interested in what your view was of the width of the parking spaces.
