We missed it last year because we were on holiday and won't be able to come this year either because we are going to Derbyshire for a wedding.

As I've no concentration at the moment, I'm reading one of the Disorder in the Courts books I had for Christmas. Very amusing and can be easily read in 5-10 min sessions.

Currently I'm reading "Sports Trading on Betfair" by Wayne Bailey.

And I've just bought "The Sleepwalkers - How Europe Went to War in 1914" (by Christopher Clark)and "Black Box Thinking" (by Matthew Syed) to read on holiday.

The Road to Little Dribbling By Bill Bryson.

Not long finished that, now reading his book on Shakespeare. Nearly finished it, next either the latest Ben Aaronovitch or another Biii Bryson - Mother Tongue

So I have a confession, it was years since I'd read a book!

With the exception of time spent in hospital during 2011/2012 life just seemed to get in the way of reading time, I tend to start books and lose interest when I hadn't managed to get through more than 3 pages in a week.

But now we have the caravan......

... and it has reignited my love of reading. During half term I ploughed through 6 books which was great fun, hubby left me and the kids there during the week and came home for work so when they went to bed I sat outside for hours only looking up to fill my glass of wine and stare at the sea.

I gave all my books away a few years ago so I am literally starting from scratch. There are a few I'd like to read again, I'm a fan of Jodie Picoult so may start with a couple of her newer ones for the next trip, I've got 'To kill a mocking bird' and 'we need to talk about Kevin' for the next trip though I'm feeling like it might be a bit dark for a holiday read and I'm determined to read 'The girl with the dragon tattoo' which I've read the first few pages of on several occasions and got no further.

I'm after recommendations, nothing majorly heavy but really good reads, I'm not interested in the Mills and Boon/Marian Keys types.

If anyone is having a clear out of books send them my way please :)

The whole Girl with the Dragan tattoo series is a must read........brilliant literature.

For a light read I really love the Jo Nesbo books which is also Scandi noir and not my usual genre, but I love them :)

Birds without wings by Louis de Berniers is a great book, and I really enjoyed all of Victoria Hislops books, The Island is a good one to start with.

Reckon you'd get all of them in the charity shop now for a few pence.

If you fancy something a bit more heavy but an absolutely immense book, then I recommend Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada. All I can say is "What a book" Awesome

Happy reading!

I'm not really a fiction person, but English Passengers is good.

"Mr Wroe's Virgins" by Jane Rogers, a third read through for me. It was the basis
for the very successful series on TV.

It's a sin to kill a Mockingbird, but a joy it is to read all about it.

I was given a copy of Go Set a Watchman for Xmas but am still too scared to read it.

Best book ever!
I only read it on my break at work, the book is my daughter in laws, pages are falling out of it, it's that old. I can't believe I've never put hands on a copy before.
I would rather read the book before seeing the dvd, therefore using my imagination to 'picture' what's happening.

Harpo Speaks. The autobiography of Harpo Marx. It's interesting, I have Groucho & Me - Grouchos autobiography, to read next.
