Year 6 (Primary) Prom

So the end of the school year is nearly here, & its my daughters last year at Primary school (cue me in floods of tears at the leaving assembly) - to celebrate the school are holding a 'Prom' (Limo, food & party at the Rangers).

Smallest daughter had her heart set on a pretty pink dress from New Look...

....however I stupidly delayed buying it incase she grew (prom is mid July) & now they've sold out. :(

Can anyone suggest anywhere I can buy pretty party dresses, I don't mind traveling as Stafford has a dire lack of teenage fashion - nothing too fancy (not a high school prom type dress) that would be suitable for a fashion conscious pre-teen (who thinks she's going on 18), & we really want to stick to a budget of upto £50 as she probably won't wear it again...

Thank you!

I would keep checking the site in case they have new stock in....
I just had a nosy look and clicked add to bag. It didn't say it was sold out so perhaps it's worth trying again?

She needs a size (age) 12-13 @Carole & its now showing as only available in ages 10 or 11 for me, does it show larger sizes for you?

I probably should of added I need dresses in age 12 - 13 or adult size 6 - 8

Oh ok. It's only showing age 10 or 11.

It might be worth ringing round some of the larger stores to see if they have any on the shop floor.
Or does the site let you do a store check on line?
If not then perhaps a trip to Birmingham. Debenhams will probably have something and the sales are on now.

A popular place amongst the teenagers was the fashion factory in Cannock but I understand they may have now closed... You could also try

https://www.justdresses.co.uk › ...

Or www.very.co.uk

Or even Amazon or eBay if looking for pre - loved.
Fashion factory? Really? I always thought that was for old biddies like me!

Thanks for the other suggestions though, being the proud owner of 2 twenty something boys I have no idea where nearly teenage girls shop, I've only found out today that River Island have a teen section!

wanna see my snake?
Doesn't @tek-monkey's other half do prom dresses?

Don't know if she does kids sizes though...

Mainly just bridesmaids in that size I'm afraid, the prom dresses are more aimed at mid teens. Her daughter also leaves primary this year, we're just getting her a cheap party dress as we don't want to spend >£100 for something she'll grow out of in months! At least teenagers may get a year out of it.

I did think of re-using her bridesmaid dress from Eldest Sons wedding last year, but I think it would be too prommy & this should be more party-type...

...dreading the cost of high-school prom!
