All I saw on my travels between Stafford & Eccleshall today were 'Leave' placards....I have just seen my first Remain placard - in the countryside, too - and not inside a wickerwork structure.
You can use a pen.All I saw on my travels between Stafford & Eccleshall today were 'Leave' placards....
Anyhow, OH wants to know why we had to use pencils to vote, one of his friends asked to use a pen & was asked to leave the polling station! (not in Stafford)
Did everyone use a pencil?
We used a pen. In fact, someone had left one in the booth at Trinity Church. All I saw on my travels between Stafford & Eccleshall today were 'Leave' placards....

As mentioned earlier - http://www.staffordforum.com/xf/index.php?threads/leave-or-remain.16841/page-29#post-311654 ..There are people standing outside some polling stations handing out pens due to some conspiracy about pencil votes being changed after the fact, which ignores the reality that if the vote were to be rigged it would not be rigged by erasing out a few votes here and there.
I don't know if it's the real reason but I saw some discussion that suggested one of the reasons pens are not used is because they could have ink that disappears after the vote has been submitted, whereas that can't happen with pencil, so malicious parties could swap out the real pens with disappearing ink pens and nobody would be none the wiser.
382 counting centres will each declare their results, as will votes from them that are collated in 12 regional centres - and the national vote, of course.I'll be interested to see the turnout result locally, if the result is broken down in to areas
i can't see leave winning. most people don't like change. not long to wait now though
