B&Q have DIY wasp nest destroyers for a few quid.

The powder form is more effective, but needs to by applied from close to the entrance - the foam version can be applied from about three metres away, in calm conditions.

Do it last thing at night, when the occupants are least active.

I discovered a small hole below the patio door where ants seemed to be wondering in and out. Nothing a dab of bathroom sealant couldn't solve!

Does anyone know of anywhere local I can get hold of some de-wasping powder? The product on the B&Q website seems to be out of stock everywhere & we have a nest in the ground floor eaves where I can't physically get at it to apply foam.

To get rid of paper wasps you'll need to find the nest and spray it in a sweeping motion with pressurized (aerosol) wasp insecticide. It is recommended that you spray paper wasp nests at night. By spraying yellow jacket nests at night, the yellow jackets will be less likely to fight back. When wasps do need to be eliminated, the safest option is always to call for professional help like from exterminator Roseville CA. Various methods from trapping to pesticides can be used to get rid of these pests. Among the most common product for the do-it-yourself inclined are aerosol insecticides. These will be marked for use on wasp and hornet nests and are effective for controlling paper wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets.

How much will they charge for a call-out to Stafford? It's 5000 odd miles so I'm supposing £40 won't cover it...
