Leave or Remain?

They weren't promises they were insinuations, everyone knew they couldn't give it all to the NHS whilst simultaneously replacing EU grants and farming subsidies amongst other things. Only the really really stupid people believe what a politician tells them.

Everyone knew?

Half the population 'think' with their arseholes
A quarter 'think' what ever the Daily Mail spouts
The rest of us are freaks

Well if we gave ALL the money to the NHS we'd not only have no saving from leaving the EU but we'd actually have a bill for all the subsidies the EU gives back. If you can't do such basic maths you are firmly in camp 1

don't mention the blinds
All the smart money is that 'leave' and we are feck*d, but hey hoh let's give in to 'mob rule' and do it.

I predict a riot........

War

Being in the EU got heads of state together chatting at regular intervals

This is good

If you talk face to face it's likely you won't fear each other.

If you dont fear each other you likely won't want to fight each other

If you are old enough to remember the OJ Simpson trial then you now appreciate the time period between World War l and World War ll

Microsoft are the governments prefered supplier, as if the gilt yields were not enough to hammer them and increase the national debt....
Might some good tenders out there to port their rubbish systems to something which works and and is far cheaper, will watch this space with interest.

Microsoft is the standard, but there is no reason for it to be. Everyone knows it, but part of your job is to learn the systems your employer uses. In public sector work many desktops are locked down anyway, the transition is more on the it staff learning the new systems than the users.

I use MS predominantly at home because I use it at work, if work changed so would home other than my rarely used gaming rig.

We've had Google in and I'm on the early adopter trial. Great for everything, apart from spreadsheets. I have no idea how I can do complex modelling I do now in Google Sheets, the functionality is somewhat lacking at the moment.

Scary init?

Interesting article in the Sunday Times about how much electricity and gas are due to increase for customers on a variable deal. It will be very interesting to see how keen some of these nut jobs are if we have a repeat of the winter of 2010.
I have enough seasoned wood and coal set aside to keep me warm for a long time.
