As well as @Gramaisc & @That-Crazy-Rat-Lady , I would like to nominate @Withnail (who I was a little terrified of meeting) for not being a grumpy old man who always tell me off for writing 'of' instead of 'have' & actually being lovely and charming. :)

and I'd like to nominate @Colossal for organising the whole thing in the first place.
@That-Crazy-Rat-Lady for indeed being very very lovely
@Withnail who I agree is lovely and charming
@Glam and @littleme for being gorgeous
@Gramaisc for having a milestone birthday so we could all get together
and every one else who went to Gramaisc's party and I'm copping out by not mentioning you cos I'm fed up of @tting haha

Many thanks to @citricsquid for the monitor, I hadn't realised how bad
mine had got till he gifted me this almost new one, the background is
now white not yellow, much easier on these old eyes.

He gave me a whole PC, which while old must have been pretty much top of the range in 2010(ish). My OH uses it at work and is extremely grateful, works so much better than her more recent laptop.

One again I feel the need to nominate the ever famous @Gramaisc for forum member of the moment.

I just posted my Facebook status as (shortened version) quite poorly, and within minutes received a kind message asking if there was anything we needed picking up as he had a shopping run to do at some point today anyway.

  for the kind offer, gramaisc.

A multi-award is due, I think.

To @Rikki @SCHC @finnback @Chick and any others associated with the Hockey Club for persevering and winning the appeal against the blatantly duplicitous manoeuvring of the dodgy folk from the Council.

These people rely on the 'little man' giving in, whilst they get paid with our money to pursue their schemes against us.

Someone asked today if the champagne corks were popping....

Not really, just a sense of a lost 24 months, continued dis-belief at the obstacles put in place and relief that the first independent professional to dig into the matter has come up with a decision that makes sense to 99.99% of the population.

It definitely is a case of the little man winning make no mistake (albeit still a long way to go before any diggers start their engines up)

Although a member the appeal being successful has nothing to do with me. I know who we all should be thanking for the work they put in and will be thanking them next time I see them.
