Why's it all so complicated? Why not a normal 2 tier shopping centre with escalators? We walked down from TK Maxx with a pushbike the other day and my daughter had to carry her bike up the stairs on to the bridge to get to the centre? Who designed such rubbish? There's plenty of space for a ramp. It's like the designers were young men who have never had a buggy/old person/wheelchair/bike etc etc. Oh yeah, they were!!!

You could always walk to South Walls, I'm sure you can get in that way without steps.

Most Stafford car parks are 1.60 for 2 hours.
Manchester is £1 an hour, but can hardly compare Manchester with Stafford.

Most Stafford car parks are £1 for the first hour and then £1.50 for 2 hours.

It's not a £1 an hour for every hour.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
I think the new multi-storey is £1 an hour @Carole

And the car parking charges are going up as well on Borough Car Parks plus some car parks will be chargeable after 6pm and on Sunday.

guildhall is-
£1.50 for 2 hours
£2.50 for 3 hours

Where????

I spend half my working hours there and I would love to know of such cheap car parks in Manc. In 10 out of 15 years I have never come across them in the city.

Just found the prices on the SBC website and it's £1 an hour up to 6 hours and then £8 over that.
It's not quite exactly that, but near enough - slightly under £1/hr in some circumstances - e.g., 80p/hr for five hours.

Up to 1 hour- £1.00
Up to 2 hours- £2.00
Up to 3 hours - £3.00
Up to 4 hours - £3.50
Up to 5 hours - £4.00
Up to 6 hours - £5.00
Over 6 hours - £6.00
8 hours to close - £8.00

I'd just assumed the rest of the restaurant units were double height and they'd all be accessible from the river - so how many more units are we meant to have?

I know Coal; Coast to Coast and Chiquitos are coming to Stafford. These restaurants could be 2 storeys, however they would be very large. As such I had assumed there will be different restaurants on the ground and upper floors - hence my question about access.

So you walked past the lifts entrance to take the stairs to the bridge

You don't need to go up any stairs if you access the centre from the Primark end, and you can also then simply walk across the bridge to F&B.
