Cheers, as someone who grew up in urban West Yorkshire there were always disused railway lines etc going in all directions and i've always kept an interest in such things....i find it fascinating...Great thread. This is what the forum is all about.

It's always something I meant to ask on here but somehow never got round to. Another native Wezzie! Careful, we abe in danger of taking over! Think Yorkshire suffered from a lot of cuts to the railways, hence loads of disused lines.
The embankment and bridge were built long before BRC relocated from Manchester.There may not have been any houses on the other side of the road because BRC (and whatever was there before) used to be there.
