The sun was shining here in Spain first thing so I sat out on the balcony with a coffee watching the world go by.

I then headed off to La Cala which is 2 minutes down the road and took some stuff to a charity shop.

Off to La Cala outdoor market which is on every Saturday morning to mooch around and purchase olives stuffed with garlic, fresh fruit and veg. Then a stroll by the beach. Lovely.

Next stop Fuengirola to get through the shopping list. New sheets, frying pan, baking trays, oven gloves, and various other delights.

Came back to the apartment, chilled out, read a bit. Siesta.

Cod with pesto and a massive salad awaits. Cava already open.

Went to Henley in Arden yesterday for a mooch round. Bought a posh plant pot which Mrs T managed to fataly drop.
Went on to Knowle. The Artisan Bread Shop and deli on the High Street has grown a bistro (Spiga) since we were last there so decided on lunch.
Mrs T had a bostin' pizza and I tried the meatballs, amaze balls!

Just made some rhubarb gin. Apparently it takes 2 weeks to 'mature'.
I once made a load of rhubarb wine. It was truly vile, but I failed to dispose of it and thought I would try it again, when I found the stash 18 months later. It was the nicest white wine that I've ever tasted.
As found in another thread, I picked some damsons for @age'd parent last year. He gave me 6 bottles of Damson wine when it was ready. Left it 6 months to mature a bit, if i'm honest it was slightly sour, had a bottle last week and it was pure nectar. I'm not a wine drinker at all. but that was bluddy lovely. Skill points to the brewer.

Yesterday (Sunday) was glorious weather here in Spain so I spent most of the day with the promised "me time" on the balcony reading and enjoying the sun.

Popped down to the pool for a swim so that I didn't feel too guilty about doing nothing much.

Today it was cloudy but no worries, it was still warm enough.
David, a neighbour came round because it's the AGM soon, he's on the committee and we've given him our proxy vote.
Had a nice natter with him then I popped off to pay our community fees.

Then I took a walk along the boardwalk by the beach, stopped off at the first chiringuito for a cafe con leche, a read of my book and a bit of people watching.

This afternoon I went back to Fuengirola and walked away from the main promenade and main tourist area, along the narrow alleyways and back streets. I just strolled for hours eventually getting lost. Found some lovely courtyards and plazas that I want to revisit with husband if I can find them again.

Back home to the apartment, it's colder tonight, still got a lovely view.

Cava again..... but why not?

Same here, fortunately covered up most pots & planters last night as it went so cold early evening I was expecting a good frost.

A couple of shrubs looking a bit sorry for themselves though.

I had a very confusing nights sleep. I kept waking up and seeing it snowing heavily but figured I must still be asleep and dreaming. I kept having the same reoccurring dream multiple times through the night.
It wasn't till this morning when I peered out the window I realised I wasn't dreaming but I did in fact A really shite nights sleep

Lovely sunny day here so this morning I walked down the hill to buy some bread and milk.

There was a cafe/bar that wasn't there last year so I thought that I'd pop in for a cafe con leche.

Found a nice table outside.

Ended up ordering a full English Breakfast and staying for over two hours chatting to the waitress and other customers.

Read my book a bit in the sunshine, then wandered back up the hill.

Had a lovely sardine salad lunch on the balcony. Finished book.

Just packed my bag now, coming home tomorrow.

I hope that someone who loves me has put my thermal vest and pants on the radiator :)
