Hi evening does anyone have any experiences positive or negative about Globe Properties?

My experiences with them were pretty awful and extensive. Not going to go into specifics, but make sure you seek second options/opinions every step of the way.

Years ago I ranted a house share room through them - they were fine.

We brought our house through them (and visited others), again all good, probably the most organised of all of the estate agents we dealt with.

Thank you for your thoughts. When they were Nicolsons (up until about a year ago) simply fab but since Globe Properties took them over i'm having a nightmare. I'm a landlord with a number of properties and they are treating my tenants dreadfully. You just cant have a sensible conversation with them, they are aggressive and use bullying tactics to both me and the tenants. I guess I shall continue to stand up to them but i just wanted to know if others were encountering the same issues at all.

Why don't you change to someone else? If they are that bad, change.

I am doing so but unfortunately there is a rather spurious contract which they are trying to rely which entails me paying a considerable cash sum to change agents. I have solicitors sorting this side out for me and I can cope with that its just my tenants, whom i have a very good relationship with, are being "punished" by the agents and their antics just because i want to move away from these agents.

I had a few problems this year when I changed tenants - service was not up to Nicolson's usual standard. I miss the old team - I think there is only one person left from the original team now. I don't like their new method of charging for maintenance issues either. I think they will lose landlords.

thanks now i know i'm not the only one - i miss the old team too! I was glad of your reply made me feel that it doesn't appear to be just me. So long as you do what these new guys want, their way and pay their costs without query you are ok. The minute you question anything you've had it - an onslaught of nasty letters.
I know they've lost many landlords. They are example of excellent customer service not!

Did you sign the contract with Nicolsons or Globe ? I will have to get mine out and see what it says as I may well change when my existing tenant leaves.

Our previous landlord was originally with MD properties (lovely to deal with but didn't really check if there were issues) and then swapped to Carter & Day (??) (much better on fixing things and had a higher standard for rental properties)

Our landlord ended up selling the property after we moved out.

Just don't go to Bridgfords/Countrywide! Incompetent is putting it mildly!
