Ok what I know is not a lot.

I'm not involved with the organising and I won't actually be there on the day because we are at a Wedding in Coventry.

I do know the people that are organising it.

So according to the details

It starts at 3.00.pm with entertainment

4 pints and a pie for £10.

So won't be seeing you there then. Daughter & son-in-law live on Teddersley Park & we intend going over to see them & drop down to the beer festival.

Is there a deadline on books? Need to sort a few out.

It's a shame that we can't go, all our friends are going, we are however going to the champagne and salmon lunch the next day in the same venue.

Martin the organiser was round at our house this afternoon. He said that there will be a choice of 4 beers, 4 ciders, one lager.
Loads of Prosecco available too.
They've got busker type singers from 4-6 and then a DJ after that.

Enjoy!!!

The booksale is on 15th July but I'll put something up on the events page.

I'm going away the week before so ideally I could do with any book donations before the 7th if possible.

Thank you :up::)

The marquee has gone up for this now.

It's in my friends field (Martin) at the top of the village near the A34 ... follow the signs.

They have now got 7 types of beer, 4 cider, one lager, wine and prossecco.

There will be burgers and nibbles available too.

If anyone is thinking of going to this please bear in mind that it is a village event which will have a lovely friendly atmosphere.

We're just sorry that we can't go ourselves.

Looks like a lovely afternoon/evening.

Well we thoroughly enjoyed it, took me back several decades. Beer tent, families sitting around in a field, kids & dogs wandering everywhere. Missing the odd village organisation stalls and small children on ponies trying to pretend they were show jumpers, not to mention the straw bales to sit on but just like village events of my childhood. Really friendly. Need to up the beer & cider order next time tho', it ran out too early.

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
We really enjoyed it and our visitors were totally enchanted by it all. Perfect weather for it as well.

I heard that it went well, they were thrilled with the turn out.

It was organised by a couple of friends and some willing volunteers. It was the first one they have organised so they had no idea how many people were going to turn up ...hence running out of beer, cider, burgers and pies.

It looks like they will do it again next year though.

We went to an event at the same venue on the Sunday in the marquee. Champagne and Salmon lunch.... that was wonderful and a success too.
