Good point. Nothing is certain until it happens.

Those Eurostar services made the printed timetables that were put up on the platforms. The service was pulled (by the Government) just before it was due to commence after 'we' had spent hundreds of millions on the infrastructure and rolling stock.
I remember working out that it would have been possible, on a Saturday, to have a return trip to Avignon, with about three hours there. I might have done that more often than I use any train here now.

It is very easy to become cynical when we've been subject to such run of pretentious bullshit over the years about stuff that never happens, fails to meet declared expectations or turns out to be just futile.

Lots of things "remain a high priority" until people have forgotten about them.

I mean the cinema site which was levelled weeks ago; some hardcore put down, 2/3 diggers have sat motionless for a couple of weeks, ........ yep that is the one, and others have made the same point, admittedly not on here, but there will be no award for rapidity! Forgive me I am impatient, I was using that old tactic of exaggerating to emphasise my point. You might not like it, but surely you must admit, its been a bit slow. I bet your toddler would love the diggers even more if they actually did something!

Am sure it will all come in time! But I had big hopes that the cinema might speed the development of the Riverside Leisure zone, and stem the demise of the Town! Well at least this end!
The noise from the pile-driver this afternoon was bizarre - anybody working around there would be glad if the place was never built, I expect.

Whatever happened to vibratory pile-drivers?

If HS2 stops at Stafford and this 'exciting' new development goes ahead then Stafford will be just another London commuter town!

Is it true that under the new plans that the secret tunnel from stafford town centre to the castle will be developed as part of an integrated underground transport system?
Only for the select few dear boy (priority for golf club members)

I read some of the paper presented to committee last night which was suggesting preferred option is to given "Northern Quarter" over to residential if gateway masterplan is approved
