Spiders.

We've had loads of those long legged spindly ones living in our outside electric box for ages. Decided to remove them the other week, so carefully put them out together on a bush outside. Next day there were a couple back in there, not sure if they are the same ones making there way back home, or ones that had been hiding during the original eviction. No matter how many times I am scooping them out, there are always some there when I look again.

I've only seen 2 so far.... First one was living in the gap of an open window I fed that one. Ungrateful sod moved out afterwards  The second one was on the back door, he was evicted.
Eldest Spawns new flat came with a sitting tenant.

Our Unacknowledged Debt to the Spider

This is the title of a poem i have been meaning to write for a long time - a strangely long time, perhaps, but how it starts became apparent to me this evening. And when it starts it can't help but finish.

It might be 'The' rather than 'Our' but i'll see how it progresses.

It may take some time.

Got in the car yesterday morning to find a large web stretching from the top third of the steering wheel to the full width of the sun visor with a large spider sat smack in the middle.
Felt a bit guilty brushing it away, the little guy must've been up all night spinning away. Quite a feat really in the dark. Do spiders have exceptional night vision or some form of bat like radar?

How do they even get into these places? The one on the stairs last night would of needed his own door key!

Walked through a Web this morning between the houses, good 10 foot distance. Cycled back through it tonight when I got home, actually felt sorry for the poor bugger as that must have took some effort!
