wanna see my snake?
Thought I'd start getting my stuff together for Wednesday night, ended up completely packed! The new cabin bag seems very sturdy, and I have room to spare. Looking like a good purchase

There used to be an old lift down into Grand Harbour, somewhere like that - one of my earliest memories is looking down through the gaps in the rather-less-than-impressive old flaky bits of timber that constituted the floor.
Will do!Hey Tek have a great time post some pics if you can it is a place im thinking of taking the family next year.
Those photos look great Carole, i have never been a holiday type of person and me and the misses have never been abroad in the 27 years we have been together, but we are doling next year and i would rather not go to the normal holiday type places like Spain.
For @tek-monkey
In Malta they have "hop on hop off buses"
You buy a daily ticket and the bus goes all round the island. You can get off at a stop, have a look round for a while, get on the next bus, stop somewhere else for a mooch, get on the next bus.
The buses come every half an hour or so and it's a great way to see the Place. I think in Malta there are 2 routes, one that serves the North and another the South.
Have a great time, it's a lovely place.

All of the family are going and my daughter has been on many holidays overseas so she has some suggestions, if im honest a tent in whales would do me but i have been out voted, Malta sounds great but my misses cant walk far and needs the aid of a mobility scooter or wheelchair so it would have to be somewhere that can cater for these things and have paths suitable. For @tek-monkey

A tent in whales would make for an interesting holiday..... my misses cant walk far and needs the aid of a mobility scooter or wheelchair so it would have to be somewhere that can cater for these things and have paths suitable.
When we used to go camping my misses didnt have the mobility problems she has now, thanks for the tip ill check that out.A tent in whales would make for an interesting holiday.
Anyway, for anyone with mobility issues, the best I've come across is Kos town. It's got a long flat promenade and everyone it seems hires a bike and pedals around. Indeed, too many cyclists may be a problem in itself, but check it out on Google Earth, and anywhere else with a decent promenade.
