Now I am confused. Have "Admin" added a footer without permission and "outed" HopesDad as a troll ? Bit naughty if they have.
I have seen that footer for quite some time (dial 1-8001-TROLL) and assumed it was his as it is quite fitting. Is this wrong? Is there a real conspiracy here?

I'd be very surprised if HopesDad had chosen any of those accoutrements - or, indeed, the Avatar.

Are we to believe that HopesDad went into the settings of his account and added -

To whit - to woo - i thus believe his account has been 'managed' to appear thus.
I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong, but in the absence of evidence to the contrary, one would have to conclude that what has been perpetrated ^above constitutes a 'dick move'.

The thought did cross my mind.
'Content' is the modern day equivalent of 'Events, dear boy, events...'
But i'm not actually quite that cynical.
