It will be done in three phases.
1. 26-02 to 02-04-2018 A road closure will be necessary at the junction of Broad Eye and Doxey Road. A clearly signposted diversion will be in place.
2. 26-03 to 22-04-2018. The road will narrow on both sides of Chell Road.
3. 09-04 to 16-04-2018. It will be necessary for Doxey Road and Broad Eye Road to narrow.
It goes on to say - Cadent has worked in close partnership with Staffordshire County Council's Highway Department to carefully plan the traffic measures to support this project.

How lovely, then it'll all be dug up again when they do the Western Relief Road.

Excellent news. That road's been relatively free flowing for far too long. Needs bringing down a peg or three, just like every other major road in Stafford has been for decades.

I am going to buy a lottery ticket on the strength of this.

I had occasion to have to travel along the full length of Oxford Gardens four times today, something that would induce a state of suicidal misery normally. Today, however, I didn't meet a single vehicle coming in the other direction AT ALL.

Have the four-way temporary lights gone from the Sandon Road junction?

People might have just given up trying to go through that area - I know I have.

They were still up this afternoon. Any idea what they are up to as the only purpose the lights seemed to be playing was filtering traffic around the vans the 'workforce' had parked on all four roads.

They seemed to be fiddling with the railings, but that may just be a red herring. Who knows?

Official description is "site refurbishment works".
