Crash on the M6 southbound, by the Castle - some lane restrictions - there could be consequences in the town at some point?

I have not been around there recently but I assume they are replacing the Asda traffic lights with traffic lights. LED ones. Which to me, is a bit pointless, as it is just causes unnecessary congestion whilst it is done, even though the current lights are working fine.

Imagine what the queues will be like when they finally replace the Gaol roundabout lights and the roundabout past Asda with LED lights at some point in the future??

In all fairness the lights at asda have been working intermittently recently.

Just after Christmas at the time of sunday morning opening for asda, none of the the lights at that junction were working. Even last friday it was the lights exiting asda that were not working which some disruption which seemed to have resolved itself an hour later on the way back. I am rarely in that area so it is not very good.

I also have issues when council fix things that don't need fixing, in this case they needed to do so it seems

Agree with Gareth, I have been there a couple of times in the last month when exiting lights weren't working, it certainly focuses your mind edging out.

It is depressing when the temporary traffic lights are on green one way and on red the other way along the A34. It is backing up the traffic terribly. I guess this is so cars can turn right into Asda safely without a green arrow available. Went past yesterday and the new traffic lights are installed but not turned on yet?

I see Blackheath Lane will be closed for surface treatment 1 day very soon, wouldn't this be an ideal time to have Hydrant Way opened?

Perhaps the developer will have some sympathy for us motorists... Not

Enjoying a drop of red.

Surface treatment.

You mean the annual spraying of a road with stones, sponsored by Autoglass.

30 minutes to get from Queensway north to Queensway south. Oh, not forgetting a number of arrogant arses jumping lanes for the purpose of jumping back in further down the line.
Oh, again, the idiot in the Jaguar E-Pace MM67 FZN that thought it was perfectly ok to jump from the left (ASDA) lane travelling southbound into the middle lane without any indication. One pap on the horn wasn't enough to inform him he was in the wrong. Neither was a second ashe continued to push me out of my lane. AND, he still had the audacity to shout and argue after he exercised his willy wave-waving "I've got a bigger car than you" right.:grr:

Badly planned roadworks this morning along the A34 next to Stafford Common. A random truck parked on the Southbound road blocking the way and 2 random blokes with high-visibility jackets halting and waving the traffic past. No evidence of any traffic lights or any Stop/Go lollipops or any warning this was taking place. As a result, the traffic was backed up to Crispin Court, where the old curry house used to be. It best not be there again tomorrow.

Theyve been there (up & down the road) for the best part of the last week - replacing street lights/digging large holes/generally getting in the way & being a nuisance. ....

Got this through the post box this morning regarding M6 roadworks. After seeing the disruption this morning I think its time to book a long holiday!
