The bridge at the farm was a popular entry point to the river and the bend before it had two fatalities.
Yeah, that would be the crash my mate was killed in . I know it wasn't too long after we finished school. The fatal crash that I remember was at the intervening bend between the river bridges and had two female fatalities, it would have been in 1975, I think. There is a barrier there now, probably as a result.
And have even MORE traffic going down what is essentially a residential road?Personally, I'd knock the bridges down and put in something more sensible - perhaps something with two lanes.
. My queue in the left lane towards Stone Road is backed up because Stafford.
Is it? Never knew that. The stone bridge on Baswich Lane is a listed building.
Here - https://www.staffordbc.gov.uk/sites/default/files/cme/DocMan1/Planning Policy/Conservation/Listed Buildings/Listed-Buildings List.pdf - it's under Hopton and Coton, rather than Baswich.Is it? Never knew that.
That is the whole problem. It's quite feasible to have cars pass in each direction on the 'bent bridge' by the farm, but few people seem able to cope if you try it...The only thing wrong with that part of Baswich Lane (well the whole if Baswich Lane really), is people driving like dickheads.
I can't help but wholeheartedly agree with this statement. The only thing wrong with that part of Baswich Lane (well the whole if Baswich Lane really), is people driving like dickheads.

....
There was quite a bit of renovation work done on it three or four years ago. Repointing and stuff, it wasn't possible to see what was going on.Cheers.
A silvery estate? I've just been subject to some 'assertive driving' from whoever was driving it today.A fine example from the Merc-Benz Stafford dealer (the car was marked as such) today. Coming from the Kingsmead build, he’s in the right hand lane of the two lanes going towards Sainsbury’s. My queue in the left lane towards Stone Road is backed up because Stafford.
Naturally he speeds up his lane and cuts in right at the end in front of a bus.
No smoke without fire, the dealers must be trained in this to then train their customers
You're on their road so you must abide by their rules, as and when they make them up.A silvery estate? I've just been subject to some 'assertive driving' from whoever was driving it today.
