I'll start us off with one of my favourites - Henning Wehn at the Gatehouse and The Garrick in Lichfield and both times, he's been outstanding!

Big fan.

I go to a new material night most months and see some really good, but less mainstream comedians. My favourite at the moment is Harriet Dyer. Gary Delaney is normally at the same night, and he's brilliant.

I've seen quite a few comedians live over the years; Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Milton Jones, Jon Richardson, Jack Whitehall, Michael McIntyre, Gary Delaney, Hal Cruttenden, Reginald D Hunter and all have been excellent

We've just started doing comedy nights at the Cricket & Hockey Club. The first night was a really good event, I'd definitely recommend it.

The second event is coming up in a few weeks and tickets are still available

I saw a bloke called Steve Best in the Baptist Church at Rising Brook about five years ago. Possibly the funniest that I've ever seen. There were people who would have left for the sake of their health, if they could have trusted their legs to carry them. Visual/verbal comedy of the very highest order.

This reminds me seeing comedian(s) in the basment of Reynolds (i forget what it was called then a few years back, whatever it was when it had a rebrand, shortly after the strip joint, i think, your honour!) on the set was Johnny Sorrow (outstanding!!) and some other fella who i still see about town, and on the odd occasion in The Market Vaults, anyone know the chap i'm talking about?
Either way it was a good night and the guy who's name escapes me, was very funny.
He had a general dead pan demeanor about him.

Enjoying a drop of red.
The funniest two of all time that I've seen were Dave Allen and Billy Connolly. Of the current generation then Lee Mack was very entertaining and though I went with absolutely zero expectation, Julian Clary was a surprisingly good night out.

There was also a comic/magician I saw a few years ago at the Comedy Club in Brum, who made a bowling ball appear from knowhere that was excellent. However, a most unusual high level of alcohol consumption that evening means I've never been able to remember his name.

I've remembered (all by myself!), i think it's Rob Halden.

Another outstanding, pretty damn funny and favourite of mine is James Acaster, seen at the Gatehouse.
I'd happily go see him again.

Seen Reg D Hunter, Sarah Millican, Dave Gorman and Milton Jones at the Gatehouse all excellent...

I recall in the dim and distant past seeing Shaun Hughes in the 90s as well as Newman and Baddiel.

Wouldn't mind seeing Alun Cochrane at some point, especially as he was in the year below me at school...

I saw Harry Hill once in Oxford, this was a long time ago, and it was transcendent.

Some years before that i saw Simon Munnery when he was Alan Parker.

Rob Halden is much better than he thinks he is.

The Bard from Hednesfard should be better known than he is.

Would like to see him at the Gatehouse.

David Baddiel's Fame at the Gatehouse, whilst it wasn't laugh out loud it was very interesting and amusing.

Anyone going to his My Family; Not the Sitcom in May?
