Slater's Bar.

The photos used to support the fact they couldn't block the entrance were of the entrance completely blocked by scaffolding. Scaffolding can't move out of the way, so apparently blocking it for a week or two is fine but temporarily for a few hours is not.
Blocking it with an immovable obstruction is OK, but blocking it with easily movable objects is not.

Not that it ever gets used...

That's not the point.

To allow either pub to do so would set a very uncomfortable precedent of the BC doing something to help local business.

And-that-just-will-not-do.

Oh how I miss having my company located in Stafford...

The only problem with Slater's is, it's doing so well it's going to end up killing butler's off.

Tbh , I fully expect butler's to be rebranded to Lloyds in a year or two. I dunno why they didn't open it as a Lloyds bar in the first place.

Bostin' cider on tap today.
Said cider was Hurstview 7.2% at £3.50 a pint.
Disappointed with yesterday's guest cider 6% and £4.50 a pint. Didn't stop for another.
Thought the pricing was keen here, not so sure now.
