Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Three more speed bumps have appeared on the Queens Retail park road - apparently 'savage' ones.

Whenever I go past, there seems to be little chance of speeding in the queueing traffic...

Can confirm, the speed bumps have been redone and are crazy even below the speed limit they expect (15)

Someone’s suspension is going to be fudged by that and they’re going to very quickly shave them back down to a reasonable size when they get the bill.

I haven't been in there for at least five years, possibly ten - it is a constant source of surprise that a place so large can hold so little of interest to me.

Tbh, retail industry is falling apart. You can't even rely on nationals filling up places as they're folding themselves. Don't really know where we go from here, the service industry is being hit too.

Carphone warehouse high street stores are on borrowed time too, as they're gonna be thinned out this year.

One might loose an arrow.

If many of us did it some time ago - at Agincourt for example - we may have been loosing many thousands of them.

Before something is lost you must lose it. In the process you would be losing it.

You could potentially find yourself in a situation where you were losing a belt that needed loosing - but only really in an active robbery type scenario. With a belt you wouldn't be too bothered about losing. Because it was too tight.

That's not the kind of thing you'd generally expect to happen of a Tuesday.

Sad to see Beatties going, my first ‘proper’ job after leaving college was going on their management training scheme. It was a great place to work giving proper customer service which unfortunately seems to be unsustainable in the age of internet shopping. I went in at Christmas for the first time in years and was frankly shocked by the state of the place. The writing has been on the wall for a while, House of Fraser have barely given the building a lick of paint since I left there in 2000.
