Is lord stafford anything to do with the new development in terms of him owning the land it is being built on or does he have ties to the rugby club other than he leased the land of the former club to them?

Essentially he has gifted land he owns, but wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting permission to build houses on, to the Rugby Club, who had previously used land he owned but had let to them, but which he could and did have planning permission to build houses on, in exchange.

I'm not sure he has any ties to anything other than his own quest for personal enrichment. None that have any meaningful impact on his soul, at least. Not that i know him personally, of course, more of a general impression of size and shape and all that jizz. Perhaps he's also passionate about torturing animals?

It's all been in the family since 1068......
More like 1071, but with a few intervals of reversion to the Crown - traitorous lot the Staffords, as i'm sure you'll be astounded to hear.

And, of course, this is wrong, having confused the longest day, in terms of daylight hours (21 June 2018), with the day the sunsets start getting earlier, which falls a few days later. So, the correct statement would be something like:

Only 14 more sleeps
until the nights start
drawing in again!

Unless, of course, you are planning to have a few sleepless nights or, maybe, add on a few afternoon naps.

A similar thing happens in winter, with the dates of the latest sunrise, shortest hours of daylight and earliest sunset all falling on different dates.

Its all to do with spin, tilt and orbit, as Professor Tim O'Brien explains here.
