Bits & pieces from around the area. Any additions or corrections?

Bramshall, Old Bramshall Inn. Reopened on 29th June as part of the Neil Morrissey Pub Company (leased from Star Pubs & Bars). One Stoke resident complained bitterly that she travelled all the way to Bramshall only to discover that it had the same menu as the Plume of Feathers, Barlaston (NMPC's other pub in the area)!

Church Eaton, Royal Oak. Lease free of tie offered at £39,950. Annual rent £20,000.

Copmere End, Star. Freehold still for sale at £395,500.

Kingstone, Shrewsbury Arms. Freehold still offered for sale at £310,000 - a price reduction. There has been a stuuestion that there is a proposal to convert it to residental use. There does not seem to have been a planning application for change of use.

Little Haywood, Lamb & Flag. EI still have the lease on offer?

Meaford, Darlaston Inn. Freehold still being offered for sale at £875,000 although I understood it had been sold. Planning application for demolition & redevelopment of site has been submitted.

Stafford, Bear (Grill). Does anyone know what is happening, does not currently appear on Marston's list of properties available.

Stafford, Hop Pole. Freehold for sale. £249,400 including fixtures & fittings.

Stafford, Lord Nelson. Occasional reports of intermittent work taking place on the premises.

Stafford, Luck Penny. EI are now saying that the lease is under offer.

Stafford, Market Vaults. Still open without burgers, does anyone know what is happening?

Stafford, Spittal Brook. Reopening mid August with Tim & Janet from the Olde Rose & Wotsit. Seemed to be work going on there today, or maybe various contractors have found it convenient to park their vans in front of the pub.

Stafford, Tap & Spile. Freehold sold subject to contract.

Stafford, Theatre Bar. Freehold for sale. £225,000.

Stone, Langtrys. EI still have the lease on offer?

Stramshall, Hare & Hounds. Now the Olive Tree Guest House, Tea Rooms & Restaurant. However there are suggestions of a licensed bar and they have had beer, including cask ales, available at events.

Sutton, Red Lion. Still available to rent at £22,500 on a 5 year agreement.

Uttoxeter, Plough. Freehold still offered for sale at £274,999.

Staffordshire. Confidential Sale ( any guesses?). High Turnover Public House, Staffordshire. Idyllic countryside location. Serves 1,500 meals a week on average. Al fresco patio & beer garden. Genuine retirement sale after 34 years. Net Turnover Y/E 30/09/2017 £1,060,778. C. 2.1 acre plot. Energy Rating C. Close to A38, A51, M6 Toll (So Lichfield area?). Freehold £1,295,000 - an absolutr snip

And finally, in Lancashire one agency is offering for sale "Newly Refurbished Virtual Freehold Bar". Virtual freehold?? Or a freehold virtual bar?

As far as I am aware some on is taking over the Market Vaults once Oli & Vicky sadly depart next month.

Not much is known about the new land lord, I just hope that they don't spoil it tooooo much and keep some of of the features of the bar...like the live music etc...

One thing is for certain, there will be no burgers unless they are bringing their own kit and bonkers ideas with them?

One Stoke resident complained bitterly that she travelled all the way to Bramshall only to discover that it had the same menu as the Plume of Feathers, Barlaston (NMPC's other pub in the area)! - I believe Neil is opening a second pub?

Meaford, Darlaston Inn. Freehold still being offered for sale at £875,000 although I understood it had been sold. Planning application for demolition & redevelopment of site has been submitted. - I think it's being bulldozed to make way for drive through restaurant and petrol station?

Stafford, Bear (Grill). Does anyone know what is happening, does not currently appear on Marston's list of properties available. - heard it's been taken over?

Stafford, Market Vaults. Still open without burgers, does anyone know what is happening? Heard it's been taken over. New owners really should do burgers?

Stafford, Tap & Spile. Freehold sold subject to contract - Saw a sign outside saying it had been taken over but it still has boarded up windows despite there being a sign outside saying it's open!!

Stafford, Theatre Bar. Freehold for sale. £225,000 - probably not selling due to bar stinking of sewerage and being haunted!!
