Gmail problems

Haven't been able to log in to gmail all morning, have followed password reset and still cant get in, anyone else having problems ?, i can read messages on my mobile but it won't send, very odd.

Both of my Gmail accounts are working fine. I had a couple of issues on Thurs (nowt came through on my PC for a couple of hours, yet they were appearing on my phone) but it seems to be working perfectly at the mo.

No problem with my gmail accounts. Just tried again and straight in.

My mum had a problem with her gmail account where every time she tried to log in it told her the password was incorrect and she had to change it to get in, but even when she definitely put the correct password in it still said wrong password. Ended up setting up a new account because it wouldn't work.
Just tried mine and it's working. Reminded me to respond to some emails too! :)

And whats even more annoying it works fine with ie but firefox is still buggered !

Gmail has had an update and defaulted to the new layout.

It does not seem to be improved in any way that I could see and so I have returned to the 'classic' layout, which does everything that I want to in a fairly logical and straightforward manner.

Am I missing something?

I've reverted to Classic too. I don't think there was anything majorly wrong with the new look, I just didn't see the point and classic looks neater.

It's a hell of a lot faster for me, Gmail is the tab I have open that constantly consumes the most amount of resources on Chrome.

We use it at work now. It gets stuck after a while with Chrome, as apparently it doesn't release memory.

The old one's never caused me any significant issues on Chrome. The new one seemed to have no additional feature that was of any great use to me. It was just 'different' for no great advantage to me. The sort of thing that many "upgrades" are.

I like to look in Spam now and then, the odd real thing has turned up in there in the past, although I get almost nothing in there now. After a while looking for it, I discovered that I could revert to a system that I didn't have to relearn - and did so.

No doubt, it will be compulsory after a while...
