Enjoying a drop of red.
She drove home this afternoon having shut up shop early with it saying .5 miles of range left all the way home. It's on charge now.

Briefly drove to the pub in mine earlier and it was claiming 230 miles of range, when on a normal day I'd expect it to have 290 or so.

I'd be laughing with 230 in the summer. Can't visit my parents in a Leaf, it's doubles the drive to 4 1/2 hours due to the charging (or perhaps they're just not using the right chargers when they drive up)

However, I rarely drive long distance (furthest I've done is Lichfield... funnily enough to try out a P100D) so it's not a major issue for me. Love my little metallic red Leaf and it will happily see me through till my 75D (provided they don't discontinue that model too).

I will however, sit here in envy that you have not one but two of the damn things.

I think Tesla have now lost grip of the last vestige of reality they had. All they have achieved is massive corporate losses so far, they can't get their 'big seller' into production, the opposition are rapidly catching up and now this...

I dunno, I'd quite like to be in a position where my product is so heavily demanded that I can't keep up with orders.

They do seem to be ramping things up quite dramatically now at least.

Yes indeed. Shame they can't make any money.

That not normally how a CEO is rewarded.

Does anyone have a preferred, local place that can paint match? Just been cleaning the windscreen up a bit and noticed some chips on the windscreen and bonnet. Fortunately tiny, but I would like to sort out the paint chips. Bonus points if there’s such a thing as a mobile service for that.

I blame The Hough and all these roadworks.

1, @shoes may well know.

2, There is Chips Away, who get good reports. http://www.chipsawaystafford.co.uk/ - They may do small stuff on a mobile basis...

3, There was a place on Lovatt Street that would make up matched paint in aerosols - the have moved, and I can't remember what they were called, but they did some for me about twenty years ago.

This nice Cortina was on B&Q car park this afternoon.

No whiplash aerial, but the wheels were certainly racing trim.

If I had that Cortina, I would never take it on that pot-hole ridden car park. The owners of the site should be ashamed of themselves for letting it get in that state.

A Morris J-type has just pottered down Sandon Road.

Like this.

It could even be that one, with a local number there..

But it didn't look quite so green.

It's been many years* since I actually saw a Maestro on the road, although this one is local, in regular use around Penkridge and visiting Lidl about once a week, apparently, but without coming to my attention before.

He says that parts are starting to become a bit of an issue now.

* Ten, possibly...

I've only seen it the once, does he use it everyday or just now and then?
I didn't get a full itinerary off him, but he seemed surprised when I said I'd never seen it before, it seemed to be in regular use, in 'two-seater mode' with various tools and materials in the back.
