I was looking up alternative route times from Stafford - Worcester the other morning , incase of M6/M5 problems as son was heading back to work. Put in via toll, M42 and m5. Route recommended was rather long....took me via the M5 in Ireland
The M5 is up North - they don't like you riding bikes on that one.

Seen someone riding a bike on the English M5, they put up warning messages saying that there was a pedestrian on the carriageway.

(thought why "carriageway", you aren't allowed to take horsedrawn vehicles on there either?)

We saw a chap riding a pushbike on the hard shoulder of the M6 a couple of years ago as we went up to Manchester airport in the early hours. Hope he isn't still attempting it with the smart motorway work going on along that stretch!

If they do that at the same time as junction 10 then we might as well all stay at home. Hilton Lane is my escape route at the moment.

if they do that at the same timeas J10, I'm screwed getting to Coventry each day. and I've just found out I can't expense the toll road either.....So working from home 4/5 days then eh?
