OK @PeterD, here goes. It's the best I can manage at the moment.

You've never been past the front of Casa on a Friday or Saturday night then.
I have a general rule not to go past my front door on a Friday or Saturday night.

I have, much against my better judgement, been in the Grapes (once!) on a Saturday - and been treated to paramedics working on someone on the floor whilst the karaoke continued undisturbed...

The hurling I had in mind requires rather more skill - start this at 3:20 for a demonstration.

The 'textured finish' on the concrete is a give-away.

Still struggling with @Len's Lens's clock* above...

* I do feel that I've seen it and the picture may be a clip from a Street View? But the numbers being unpainted is odd...

Yes, you're right!! A ripple of applause for you, Sir!! It is in plain sight but you're really looking what's coming around the roundabout rather than looking for the latest time. I've never seen it before either even though I drive past it every day, until is tumbled across it on a Street view hike!!

Over to you @Gramaisc!!

I am prepared to admit that I only found it because I wondered if the Waggon & Horses might have had a clock due to that being such an important junction in the old days - 99% of traffic entering Stafford from the North came down that little road, when there was no Beaconside or motorway.

When I swung the view round, having spotted a factory that I had forgotten, there it was. I've actually walked through that door a few times, but not for many years now.

I am impressed by its state of repair.

That is one of the best we've had on here - in plain public view and in place for the whole of living memory - but rarely noticed.

That building was a hotel at one point - there was a large fire in the early 1970s (I think) - it lost the top storey as a result, and gained a flat roof over the remaining floors.

There it is on the wall above the door!!! Thanks for saying it is one of the best on the thread @Gramaisc!! I only spotted it by mistake whilst hurriedly looking for an image as I realised I hadn't carried on the treasure hunt after spotting the Staffordshire Box archway photo you uploaded @Gramaisc. I thought that'll do, that clock. After uploading it, I realised that it wasn't in a very obvious position being next to a busy roundabout, yet it was in an obvious position, if you know what I mean. Glad you enjoyed it!

is this the plack on the mill st clock? I read that plack on Saturday just gone and the 1820 sticks in my mind past it hundreds of time but for some reason only just noticed the plack

It is indeed the Mill Street clock plaque.

On the base here.

Your turn now, @Cue - you may need a flash, as it's gone dark.
